One person was killed when a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit a kibbutz in southern Israel on Thursday, Israeli army radio said.
The rocket attack came as EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton was visiting the Gaza Strip.
The rocket slammed into the Netiv Ha'assera kibbutz, a few kilometres (couple of miles) from the Gaza Strip, an army spokeswoman said. She could not immediately confirm that one man died of his injuries.
"It is the third rocket fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip since Wednesday evening," she said.
