Indonesian Fishermen Among Missing as Boat Capsizes Off Taiwan
Seven crew members were missing after their Taiwan-owned fishing boat capsized off the island, officials said Tuesday.
The “Hsin Fu Ta No 168” was carrying its Taiwanese skipper as well as four Chinese and two Indonesian fishermen when it stopped sending out radio signals on Sunday, the Coast Guard Administration said.
The vessel was found on Monday capsized and drifting on the high sea 14 nautical miles (26 kilometers) northeast of Taiwan, it said.
The coast guard said it has been searching the area, but has so far not discovered any trace of the missing fishermen.
