No Time for Love

Every summer, long-tailed mayflies swarm over the surface of the Tisza River in Hungary, desperately looking to find a mate and pass on their genes.

For these flies, pictured here on Wednesday, time is of the essence: They only have a few precious hours to meet a suitable mate before they perish.
