One Dead in Cessna Airplane Crash in West Java
A Cessna airplane on Monday crashed in Sukana village, Kuningan, West Java, killing one of its three passengers.
“A Cessna 172 airplane crashed on Monday,” Gagah Prakoso, spokesman for the National Search and Rescue Agency, told the Jakarta Globe. “The victims are three persons and they have been taken to Wijayakusuma Hospital in Kuningan. Capt. Heru died while the two others are under intensive treatment for their injuries.”
Capt. Heru was an instructor working with the Aero Flyer Institute. The two Aero Flyer Institute aviation students on board when the plane went down were Rara Paramita and Fitriani Fatima.
Gagah refused to provide further details, saying the “Cirebon Search and Rescue Team is heading to the location.”
