The National Police’s anti-terror unit on Saturday raided a house in Palmerah, West Jakarta and arrested three suspected terrorists.
According to local residents of Kemanggisan, Palmerah, the anti-terror squad, also known as Densus 88, stormed the house at 11:30 a.m. and arrested Herman Setiono, David Ashari and Yanto.
“It was raining heavily when the police got into the house,” a local resident who refused to be named said. “Not long afterward, they took three men out of the [it].”
The same person said that Herman and David are siblings.
“The younger [sibling] is still a high school student,” he added. “I don’t know [Yanto].”
Hundreds of people flocked to the surrounding area, and local people blocked the road to prevent cars from passing by the location. Police have placed a police line 200 meters outside of the house.
