Ray Sahetapy Ready to Win In New Football Coach Role

Ray Sahetapy has landed a part in the upcoming football movie “Hari Ini Pasti Menang” (“Today We’ll Win for Sure”) as the tough coach of the Indonesian national team who has a soft spot for his players.

Ray, 55, who is coming off an appearance in the successful martial arts film “The Raid,” is no stranger to the world of football. “Actually, my real name is Ferene Raymond Sahetapy, a combination of two football players, Ferenc Puskas and Raymond Kopa, both former Real Madrid players,” he said. “My father wanted me to become a football player.”

Ray said he had been studying some famous football managers to prepare for the role, namely Fabio Capello, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger.
