Singapore Airlines will add one more daily flight to its route between Singapore and London in September, the airline said in a press release on Thursday.

The flight to London’s Heathrow Airport will bring the airline’s total daily flights to London to four.

“We have looked for opportunities to increase our flights to London for years. We are happy that we can realize that now,” Mak Swee Wah, Singapore Airlines’ executive vice president for commercial affairs, said in the press statement. “We can now provide more travel options to our customers.”

Mak said the airline is serving the current three daily flights from Singapore to London using an Airbus A380, but the fourth flight, which will leave Singapore late in the evenings, will use a Boeing B777-300ER.

The additional flight would be phased in starting Sept. 9, Mak said. Flights to London will rise from 21 per week to 25 and by Oct. 21, will reach 28 flights per week.

“This additional flight is not only because London and Singapore are both popular destinations, but it is also to create more comfortable connections to places outside of London, or in Europe, or to other places in Asia outside of Singapore,” he said.
