Staff Costs Hit Airport Outfit
State airport operator Angkasa Pura II said five of its airports had a combined loss of Rp 83.2 billion ($9.4 million) this year.
Speaking to the House of Representatives’ Commission VI, which oversees transportation, the operator’s president director, Tri Sunoko, blamed rising personnel costs.
The loss-making airports were Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II in Palembang, Minangkabau in Padang, Halim Perdanakusuma in Jakarta, Raja Haji Fisabilillah in Tanjung Pinang, and Sultan Iskandar Muda in Aceh.
