A top executive at the Indonesian coal mining company Adaro Energi Indonesia was killed in a traffic accident on Tuesday after his motorcycle collided with another car on Jalan Sudirman, in Central Jakarta, according to police reports.
Andre Mamuaya, corporate affairs director at Adaro Energi Indonesia, was reportedly speeding on his Ducati motorcycle in the slow lane of Jalan Sudirman Tuesday morning. Andre, who raced motorcycles, collided with a Toyota Innova driven by Mahendra Tarigan. The accident occurred outside Plaza Central as Mahendrea attempted to make a left turn, police said.

Andre was thrown from the motorcycle and died after his head struck one of the heavy potted plants lining the road. His remains were taken to Siloam Hospital in Semanggi.
