Japanese porn actress causes a stir. Japanese porn star Rin Sakuragi
looks set to roil Indonesia in a controversial new horror-comedy movie,
“ Suster Keramas ,” or “The Hair-Washing Nurse.” The movie, which
opened today, tells the story of a Japanese tourist, played by
Sakuragi, who comes to Indonesia to find her sister, a nurse who has
mysteriously gone missing.
Sakuragi’s character, however, discovers that her sister is already dead and has become a ghost.
The
film has already drawn the ire of the Indonesian Council of Ulema (MUI)
in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, which issued a fatwa to discourage
people from seeing it. The movie’s producer, Oddi Mulya Hidayat from
Maxima Pictures, told news portal Detik.com that there was no reason
for a ban. “MUI Samarinda didn’t say they wanted to ban the movie. They
only disapprove. So we’ll keep showing the movie,” he said.
