@ Wongdeso, what is the white supremacy has to do with the slaughterhouse? Probably the same as Javanese supremacy in Indonesia maybe?

JPB.... 'in Islam we do not discriminate animals based on their habit or size. All animals should be loved....'

except humans... You and many other Indonesian Muslims are guilty of severe discrimination v humans as witnessed on a daily basis. Look no further that Bogor...Maybe you should re read 'the ant'

Bowel - The actions of these people is barbaric - But once exposed they have been instantly closed and sanctioned. They will BTW go to jail. Not one person as far as I can see is defending them. That is in 100% contrast to our own violation. We witnessed quite simply shocking images and from religious leaders to the primates in power all we heard was violent rhetoric (threats) and denials - Its a big difference and one which marks us I am sad to say as a backwards nation

New and shocking images of alleged animal cruelty at an Australian slaughterhouse are likely to cause embarrassment in Canberra, which only recently lifted a ban on the export of live cattle to Indonesia after a television documentary highlighted similar practices in abattoirs here.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on Friday that undercover footage believed taken by a worker at the Sydney slaughterhouse “shows sheep being hung up and skinned while apparently still conscious, and a man repeatedly belting live pigs over the head with a metal bar.”

“The footage showed repeated and apparently illegal use of electrical prods to move animals around the slaughterhouse and, in one instance, a goat that tried to escape was caught and smashed against a wall.”

The newspaper quoted Animal Liberation campaigner Emma Hurst as saying the abuse amounted to "torture."

Hurst said a person called the group’s anonymous hot-line after seeing footage of the abuse inflicted on cattle in Indonesian abattoirs.

“He just said, ‘if you thought that footage from Indonesia was graphic, you should know that the same thing is happening here in Sydney where I work’.”

The Herald said the New South Wales Food Authority had ordered all kills halted at the Hawkesbury Valley Meat Processors in western Sydney.

The abattoir faces closure and prosecution, the paper reported.
