444282Hi Redwine, I think it is great news as I supply some product to these hotels ( at least my wife does:). The more the merrier I say.
I wonder why there is no one commenting on this news piece. Is it because it's not related to Islam or negative Indonesians??? Or perhaps the news is too positive to comment on???

International accommodation chain Accor says it is committed to opening 21 new hotels in Indonesia.
Michael Issenberg, chief operating officer of Accor Asia Pacific, told a news conference on Tuesday that it was targeting business travelers and the growing middle-class.
“The Indonesian economy continues to grow and benefiting from this growth is increased business travel and tourism volumes,” Issenberg said.
The government predicts the economy to grow by 6.4 percent this year, while the tourism industry, both domestic and foreign, is expected to increase 10 percent.
“The perfomance, in terms of volume of rent and activities, has grown 10 percent annually in recent years, so we are expecting similar growth this year,” said Gerard Guillouet, vice president Accor Indonesia.
Guillouet said the occupancy rate of all Accor hotels in Indonesia ranged from 65 to 90 percent, depending on the hotel brand and location.
Data from Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows the average hotel occupancy rate in Indonesia in February is 51.34 percent.
The hotel operator currently manages 40 hotels in Indonesia in 18 cities, with hotel brands such as Pullman, Novotel, Ibis and Mercure. Last year, Accor announced that it was adding 13 new hotels that were scheduled to open within the next two years, resulting in a total of 34 new hotels by 2014.
Issenberg added that in terms of growth, Indonesia was Accor’s third fastest growing country after China and India.
