Building Economic Moats Around Online Businesses
8:22am Dec 7, 2011
I have always been an avid follower of Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett when it comes to investing. As an aspiring tech entrepreneur, I question how principles popularized by these two great individuals may be applied to online businesses, namely building a competitive edge and an economic moat around a business.

10:42am Aug 10, 2011
Today, as I logged onto my Facebook home page, I was welcomed by a comment that bluntly read “just dropped a deuce :).” To replace a euphemism with another euphemism, this enlightening comment refers to the action otherwise known as “taking a dump” or “going number two.”

The Forthcoming Digital Land Grab
10:01am Jun 27, 2011
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers's (ICANN) recent vote to drastically increase the volume of domain names is a significant decision that will change the way websites are categorized – or will it? Beginning January 12, 2011, users will be able to register any extension they want, as long as they have $185,000 and the patience to go through the long and rigorous application process.

3:26pm May 16, 2011
Everyone’s been raving about cloud computing, but lately I have been wondering just how ready people are for it. The term cloud has a somewhat enigmatic overtone and in my opinion captivates people’s imagination because of its sheer mysteriousness.

A quick search on Google Indonesia for Indonesian keywords will reveal that the results are imperfectly organized. Two weeks ago I came across an article on TechCrunch that Groupon had just acquired the Indonesian website Disdus for an undisclosed amount. For those who do not know Groupon, it is an online daily coupon site that has been tentatively valued at $25 billion for an IPO. Disdus is an Indonesian site that mimics Groupon’s business model.
