PT Aneka Tambang, Indonesia’s second-largest metal producer by market value, said its audited 2009 net income slumped to Rp 604.3 billion ($66.5 million), dropping 56 percent from Rp 1.37 trillion a year earlier.
The majority government-owned mining company’s sales fell to Rp 8.71 trillion in 2009, a 9.2 percent drop from Rp 9.59 trillion in sales in 2008. Aneka Tambang’s shares declined by 3.4 percent on Monday to close at Rp 2,125.
