Garuda Indonesia’s 2011 unaudited net income was Rp 900 billion, the company’s chief executive officer Emirsyah Satar said at a press briefing in Jakarta on Thursday, without providing a comparative figure.

At the close of trading in Jakarta, the national flag carrier’s shares gained 7.6 percent to Rp 570, the highest since Feb. 18. Bisnis Indonesia reported that the government has no objections to overseas investors buying a stake in Garuda.
Pujobroto, a spokesman at Garuda, said he couldn’t immediately comment.
