The Indonesia Stock Exchange has allocated Rp 95 billion ($10.5 million) for capital spending this year and has plans to spend more than half the sum on information technology development to bolster its remote trading system.

“[The remote trading system] is our top priority,” bourse finance director Supandi said on Thursday, adding that Rp 45.8 trillion would be allocated to the project.

An additional Rp 15 billion would be used to develop a mini-trading floor at the exchange, also known at the IDX, he said. Development of the project was slated in June with completion at year’s end, Supandi said. The rest of the capex would be used to renovate the existing trading floor and to build a museum, he said.
