State-owned social security provider PT Jamsostek said it expects its funds under management to rise about 27 percent this year, to Rp 78 trillion ($8.11 billion) by the end of December, from Rp 61.76 trillion a year earlier.

“The macroeconomy is good and the economy is stabilizing. We are optimistic about totaling Rp 78 trillion in funds this year, higher than our earlier projection of Rp 72.74 trillion,” Elvyn G Masassya, Jamsostek’s director for investments, said on Thursday.

Through August the company had Rp 75.22 trillion in funds under management, more than its previous full-year target of Rp 72.74 trillion. It has projected a return on investments of Rp 6.85 trillion this year.
