The Jakarta Composite Index rose 56.08, or 1.5 percent, to 3,757.62 at the midday break on Friday, posting the biggest gain among markets across Asia after Indonesia’s credit rating was raised to investment grade by Fitch Ratings late on Thursday.

Shares of some of the biggest companies in Indonesia including Astra International, Bank Central Asia and Bank Mandiri led the advance.

The market also rose after the House of Representatives approved a land bill that will pave to way for more construction projects, which would help to boost the government’s plan to boost the economy through infrastructure spending.
