PT Unilever Indonesia, maker of Rexona deodorant and SariWangi tea, said net income rose 26 percent to Rp 3.04 trillion ($333 million) from Rp 2.41 trillion in 2008 as sales climbed.

The Indonesian unit of Unilever, the world’s second-largest consumer products company, posted net sales of Rp 18.2 trillion last year, compared with Rp 15.6 trillion in 2008.

“With an outlook for a stronger rupiah exchange rate this year, we believe Unilever could easily reach our earnings target” of Rp 3.4 trillion rupiah in 2010, Merlissa Paramitha Trisno, an analyst at PT Mandiri Sekuritas, said in a report released on Friday.
