The latest World Bank report on its response to the global economic crisis that began in 2008 showed that the majority of countries suffering high levels of stress benefited from the bank’s lending, supporting relevant financial sector and fiscal management policies in response to the crisis.
World Bank said in a statement on Thursday that its new study reaffirms and extends many findings of the first phase of its report.
“What we need now is a roadmap for future crises,” said Caroline Heider, director general of valuation at the World Bank Group.
