This is terrible. But if you can't take care a dog properly, then don't have one, let alone nine dogs. Had he asked his friends/neighbours to look after his dogs while he was away, this tragedy could have been avoided. Now both master and pets suffered.

What kind of a sadistic dog owner ( and master?) was Andrew Lumboga, that he left his dogs without food and water for two whole weeks? He must have regarded his dogs as good food sources only. Real dog lovers take excellent care of their pets, and provide them with plentiful amounts of food, drink, care and, most important, lots of love! Dogs who are fortunate enough to have good masters are the finest and most loyal friends to them. When I was just a baby, my parents entrusted me to the care of our two German Shepherds, Fridtjof and Arno, as I crawled around our spacious garden. If I went too near a place that the dogs thought dangerous, either Fridtjof or Arno would take me up by my crawling pants and bring me back to my Mother or Father and put me at their feet: "Here's your daughter , safe and sound!" Especially Fridtjof was a true childhood friend of mine, God bless him. He was my accomplice in finishing off the breakfast porridge and milk I didn't like at the times my Mom wasn't looking - until she discovered what we were up to!

The dogs are suspected, there is no proof available, the police is speculating. The police would do better to investigate and present proof, rather then to present a cheap speculation which even can be doubted by small children

Looks like none of you guys on this thread are not aware that there are people from Manado/neighboring towns who enjoy eating dog meat amongst other dishes that would make you wonder too. I have live there, and I know.

I am a dog lover, avid actually. Somehow, dogs are sensitive towards their kind.

There seems to be a "good reason" as to why they attacked and as allegedly reported, ate him. I have been a dog lover for a long time and I cannot believe that the dogs attacked without provocation, especially to their master/owner. These animals are loyal and would not bite the hand that feeds them. Hmmm....unlike some humans!
