Police in Jakarta arrested a drug dealer accused of supplying ecstasy pills to Afriyani Susanti, the driver who caused the deaths of nine pedestrians last month.

“We have arrested the suspect and confiscated 20 ecstasy pills,” Jakarta Police narcotics unit director Sr. Comr. Nugroho Aji said on Tuesday. He did not name the suspect.

Nugroho said that the suspect was arrested in the parking lot of Stadium nightclub in West Jakarta but did not say when it occurred.

Afriani was charged with violating an article from the Criminal Code on negligence leading to death and under the 2009 Law on Narcotics.
