Indonesia’s ambassador to Canada, Dienne Hardianti Moehario, is being questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission in relation to an alleged graft scandal involving Sudjadnan Parnohadiningrat, the country’s former ambassador in Washington.
Priharsa Nugraha, a spokesman for the commission, known as the KPK, confirmed on Tuesday that Dienne — the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s Former inspector general — was being questioned as a witness.
Sudjadnan has been named a suspect for his involvement in the alleged misappropriation of Rp 18 billion ($1.96 million) between 2004 and 2005 when he served as Indonesia’s secretary general at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
