420003I saw the video at http://sextape.com I believe the site is owned by Vivid, anyways... The video is just ok not even close to the Kim Kardashian video.
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers ;)
@VinegarJoe: I'm Indonesian, and believe me, I'm more than ashamed to be Indonesian. When I'm abroad, i said I was a Filipino, LOL.
HI Vinegar.. my wife says yes it is.
Oddly though her girlfriend set, who are mostly smart professional women seem divided on the issue re Ariel. Some do see it as a moral corruptor (which since I know at least a couple of them have boyfriends as well as husbands seems amusing) whilst others are appalled at the duplicity. The common theme suggests that he could not match the $$ that were stacked against him. I think add to that the power of the religious thug and hey presto. A high profile case to mask the vile trappings that are Indonesia, no wonder SBY so insisted this young man is brought to justice, instead of talking about corruption, abusem failings, poverty,, well here we are instead.
If I was Luna I’d do a bunk now
I had to check it out - after the Monas incident 2.5 years ago the sentence for Habib Rizieq Shihab was 18 months for inciting violence. Now, how does this compare to the sentence handed to Ariel?
Somehow I can imagine a converstaion this morning befor the verdict between the panel of judges:
Judge 1: How many people are demonstrating outside?
Judge 2: A few hundred - but I guess it's more than 500!
Judge 1: Dear friends, you have to understand - if it would have been just a hundred or so, we could let Ariel go off because he actually didn't commit a real crime, except being a silly young man...but now...we have to show the public that we undestood their demands and will give him 3.5 years, still less than asked for by the prosecutors, if there would be 10,000 protesters (hahaha...) we would have to go for 10 years plus!. Let's see later today how many will turn up ...
From now on, I wont shag with my clothes off (same with partner). That way there's no pornography. They cant prove I'm having sex. Maybe this is what they call safe sex here.
Nazril “Ariel” Irham was found guilty on Monday of distributing pornographic materials on the Internet and sentenced to 3.5 years in jail.
The sentence, which includes a Rp 250 million fine ($28,000), is 1.5 years lower than the prosecution demand of five years.
Ariel has been behind bars since he surrendered himself to police on June 22 amid a media circus over explicit videos that allegedly show him having sex, on separate occasions, with television celebrities Luna Maya, his current girlfriend, and Cut Tari, a former girlfriend.
Before the hearing started, Ariel arrived at the Bandung District Court to jeers from about 1,000 demonstrators from the Alliance of Islamic Movements, who threw rotten eggs and tomatoes at the pop singer.
“We've been guarding the court hearing from start to finish. This is the moment for upholding the law in this country, If Ariel Peterpan, the sex video perpetrator is freed, we will take action,” the rally orator shouted in front of the court building.
The Bandung Police Headquarters deployed one thousand officers to secure the hearing which is open for public. The court room, on the building's second floor, was jam packed with Peterpan's fans, Ariel's friends, demonstrators and journalists.
His girlfriend, actress Luna Maya, attended the hearing accompanied by a group of Indonesian artists including legendary singer and song writer Titiek Puspa, rock star Achmad Albar and musician Melly Goeslaw. Luna gave her boyfriend a long embrace before he was escorted into the court room.
Speaking to the reporters ahead of the hearing, Ariel said he hoped the judge would acquit him.
“I want to be free, I hope so much that I will be acquitted,” he said. None of his family members was present at the court.
“My family supports me with prayers but it's better for them not to be here. I'm afraid for their safety. You saw how the situation in front of the court,” Ariel said.
Ariel's lawyer OC Kaligis also voiced his optimism for his client's freedom. However, he said he was worried about the security if Ariel was acquitted.
“If he is acquitted, I'm afraid the demonstrators would set the court on fire,” OC said.
