The Morrigan, well said, and add on to that, former drug chief Sugiarto, when interviewed by the press about the investigation, stated that it was flawed and only have done due to lack of fingerprints, and also when it was discovered that the inner plastic bag had not been contaminated and was still able to be fingerprinted, the bag was brought into the court, lo & behold, chief judge Linton Surait deliberately handled it and destroyed the chance to get prints, even after he knew the defense made a request for it to be done!! What a circus!! The Bali police run the drug trade in Bali and SBY knows it, the Bali judges know it, the prosecutors know it and the Australian government know it! No one takes MJ to Bali to try and compete with the Bali cops' own dealers (look what happened with the 14 y/o...no investigation into the dealer...I wonder why, Bali cop dealer, that's why!!)So if anyone thinks that Schapelle took 4kg of MJ to Bali to sell, they are lacking brains & common sense!

Just goes to show how completely corrupt the Indonesian "Justice" system is. It’s a sick joke. There’s NO flow of marijuana FROM Australia, TO Indonesia, and there never has been. That’s confirmed by multiple press reports, plus via formal documents from Australian Customs, and through official data from the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime. Is that why the Indonesian court ordered the destruction of ALL the physical evidence, with NO testing of any description carried out, plus “Lost” all the CCTV footage of her arrest & interrogation, and refused to weigh her bag, to compare it to the Brisbane check-in weight? Then they sentenced her to a term 4 times higher than any Indonesian had ever received for exactly the same crime. The film exposing this vicious travesty of justice is out very, very soon.

Two Australian women serving lengthy jail sentences in Bali for drug smuggling could be denied future sentence cuts after not attending Christmas Day Mass at their prison.

Schapelle Corby, who was sentenced in 2005 to 20 years in prison for carrying 4.2 kilograms of marijuana into Bali from Australia, said she decided not to attend the service after seeing the horde of reporters gathered in the main hall of Denpasar’s Kerobokan Penitentiary.

“You know the reason,” she told reporters on her way back to her cell. “I don’t want to come because of you.”

The Mass was followed by a ceremony at which prison officials announced the names of inmates granted remissions for Christmas.

Officials had put forward Corby for a one-and-a-half month sentence reduction, but a decision is still pending because drug, terrorism and illegal logging convicts must now have their proposed remissions reviewed by the Directorate General of Corrections. Provincial corrections departments make the decision for other inmates.

Corby’s decision to skip Mass left the warden of Kerobokan, Siswanto, fuming.

“This will be a special point against her [getting future sentence cuts] and I will report it to the Australian Consulate,” he said. “She has failed to meet all the requirements for a remission.”

He also said he would report her to the Justice and Human Rights Ministry, which oversees the Directorate General of Corrections. “She is a naughty child and unappreciative of Kerobokan Penitentiary,” he said.

Corby has twice before been denied remissions, during Christmas 2007 and 2008, after being with a cellphone. To date, though, she has received 23-and-a-half months’ worth of sentence cuts, pushing her release date from October 2024 to September 2022.

Another inmate who incurred the warden’s wrath for missing Mass was Renae Lawrence, who is serving a 20-year sentence for her involvement in the “Bali Nine” gang caught in 2005 attempting to smuggle 8.2 kilograms of heroin to Australia.

Lawrence has already received 31 months of sentence cuts, giving her a release date of February 2022.

The eight other members of the gang, all men, are not eligible for remissions because they have either been sentenced to life in prison or to death.

Siswanto said 53 Christian inmates received remissions this Christmas, including two foreigners.
