487149DD didn't know u replied, per my post just now I'm obliged to buy U & SirAKB a drink :) I learned. can get through to me at birddietweets > gmail for that drink. Nth much just a grateful gesture.
my less busy time? I'm keen to pick on the minds of the intellectuals here to learn & expand my own, if I just fall in-line with everybody else's view here I don't get anything from this, & it's just no fun at all if there is no intellectual sparring, if u use insults then u're punching the air. After the spar, there is no grudge, I'll buy a drink to anyone I can learn from. & What's the point repeating over&over again "oh yeah the govt /country /policies /controls /regulation /officials /waterways /traffic etc is rubbish/crap?" Nobody learns anything, nobody gets anything out of complaints & mass-bashing on a topic but regression of the mind.
buleagung, why would I say I don't know if I know??? geez.. hijack a thread again? What r u suggesting now? That I'm prohibited from commenting or maybe a requirement to comment is to fall in-line with all the media-shepherd bashers here then I'd be seen as one of youse & therefore not "hijack" ur complaints? U can ask the webed, if they find my posts too offensive they don't post it at all (maybe fearing somebody might cry here). I'm glad to learn the things I don't know & I do ask for clarification if I don't know, &if someone can point either my view is wrong or show an alternative, I am the one most benefited & grateful to be enlightened, but if u can't then I don't find much use for wordy insults. Why do u think I spend time here? Got nothing to do in
NRN ... I was just doing as you requested.. pointing out your faulty logic.
NRN - you are really grasping at straws now aren't you? What a load of claptrap you just wrote to DD and myself. By reverting to a local word "kafe" out of the blue would suggest you know more than you are admitting. Perhaps if you spent more time actually reading the facts rather than trying to hijack a thread, then you would know the facts of the problems in Bali and its "Cafe/Sex Shop" issues. I can only visualise the reaction of a bule tourist if confronted by one of the "Kampung Kupu Kupu Malam" - you wouldn't see them for the dust their escape created.
Denpasar. Health authorities in Bali are asking Australia to provide more proof to back its allegations that one of its citizens contracted the HIV virus from a tattoo parlor on the island.
Bali health office chief Nyoman Suteja said his office had begun investigating all tattoo parlors in the southern tourist districts. He said his office had regularly held education campaigns to raise awareness of the dangers of sharing needles in drug consumption or dirty needles in tattoo parlors.
“So far, all we have received has been limited to a notification from the [Australian] consulate in Denpasar on the matter,” Suteja said.
He said that so far there was no plan to put more restrictions on tattoo parlors in Bali, especially in the Kuta tourist district.
“We have only reminded them to be more careful in providing their services,” he said.
A report from Sydney last week quoted Australian health authorities as saying that a patient diagnosed with HIV likely caught the virus while having a tattoo done in Bali.
However, Western Australia’s Department of Health, which put out the statement, did not offer any details, including which tattoo parlor was allegedly involved.
Nyoman Giri, who operates a tattoo parlor in Kuta, said the news had affected his business as well as that of others.
“The Australian government should provide proof that the Australian tourist really caught his HIV from having a tattoo made in Bali,” Giri said.
He said that to his knowledge, tattoo parlors in Bali all operated their businesses in a professional manner, including in matters related to health and cleanliness.
“Tattoo equipment such as needles and ink, we actually import from Australia,” added Giri, who said he had operated his business for the past 17 years.
Bali health office said that there were 4,833 cases of known HIV/AIDS infection cases but acknowledged that the figure could be higher.
