472624Warning or not, shooting into a crowd can never be the best way. The British did it against the people of Boston, which only fired them up more. Where did the military hope to get when they did this?
i have seen the photographs of hundreds of people being led away like prisoners ow war. it looks so sadly

Indonesian military forces fired on participants of the Papuan Peoples’ Congress in Jayapura on Wednesday, according to a press release from West Papua Media.
The report states that “credible sources on the ground” have confirmed that at 3:30 p.m., soldiers opened fire on the gathering, held at a field in Padang Bulan Abepura.
The report says that casualties have been reported, but that numbers have not been confirmed.
There are unconfirmed reports that at least one person has been killed and others injured.
Regional Military Commander Maj. Gen.Erfi Triassunu confirmed the reports of shooting to the Globe, but insisted the shots were only in warning. He denied there were any casualties.
The warning shots were fired in response to an alleged announcement by the Papuan Peoples’ Assembly (MRP) declaring the province’s independence from Indonesia, Erfi said.
The story is developing.
