A Cessna aircraft was reported missing and was feared crashed in the vicinity of Cirebon, West Java, on Wednesday.
“It was predicted to have fallen in Tenggung, Cirebon,” Gagah Prakoso, a spokesman with the National Search and Rescue Agency, told the Jakarta Globe on Wednesday.
The missing aircraft, owned by the Nusa Flying School, left from Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma airport with three people on board on Wednesday.
Gagah said the rescue agency had dispatched a helicopter and three other aircraft from the flying school to look for the Cessna, but that the aerial search had been halted until Thursday due to visibility issues.
“We will continue a land-based search that was started this afternoon until later in the night,” Gagah said.
