Thousands of football enthusiasts flocked to Bung Karno stadium to buy tickets for the Southeast Asian Games group qualification match between Indonesia and Malaysia on Thursday.

Ticket booths will open at 11 a.m. at a number of locations around the stadium. Organizers strategically placed ticket booths at different locations around the stadium to prevent overcrowding.

Those who cannot get tickets can watch the game on three giant screens outside of the stadium.

Rahmat Gobel, the head of the Indonesia Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee also known as Inasoc, said he is thankful for the public's enthusiasm.

“The number of people who watch football is increasing with every game and I’m grateful for it. I hope football enthusiasts will keep on supporting the national team,” said Rahmad, as quoted by Goal.

Indonesia has nine points after three wins in three matches. Malaysia is in second with seven points after beating last-place Cambodia 4-1 on Sunday. Third-place Singapore is still in the running with four points.

The victor in today’s group final between Indonesia and Malaysia will win Group A, while a draw would see Malaysia advance to the semi-finals.
