Heavy rain will hit Jakarta today and tonight, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency predicted on Tuesday. Rain is expected in all five areas of Jakarta.
The agency also issued an extreme weather warning in Indonesia
from Tuesday through Thursday. It called for heavy rainstorms,
strong winds and lightning in central and south Sumatra, central Kalimantan, West Java, East Java, Jakarta, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, south Sulawesi, central Maluku and Papua.
Waves between two and four meters are possible off southern Sumatra and northern Sulawesi and in the Pacific Ocean east of the Philippines.
