Ida Laksmiwati, the wife of former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Antasari Azhar, said she trusted her husband “1000 percent.”
Ida made the statement when attending her husband’s hearing for the murder of Nasrudin Zulkarnaen at the South Jakarta Court on Tuesday.
Ida said she never believed any rumors about her husband. She said she will always support Antasari and trust him.
“I trust (Antasari) 1000 percent. I know him inside out. He is not a romantic type, but he has what other men don’t, therefore I always depend on him and I trust him,” Ida said.
Ida also received compliments from reporters for her looks today. Ida admitted she had a new hair style and dressed especially for a Mother’s Day celebration at a television station that she had been invited to as a guest.
Meanwhile, Antasari’s hearing presented two information technology experts from Bandung Institute of Technology, namely Agung Harsoyo and Aldo Agusdian. They were summoned by the general prosecutor to find out who had sent text message threats to Nasrudin’s cellphone.
The general prosecutor claimed Nasrudin received a text message from Antasari in February 2009 that contained threats against him. Agung and Aldo checked Nasrudin’s cellphone before the court.
“We can’t find the SMS,” Agung said after he finished checking the cellphone.
However, the prosecutor insisted that the text message existed. He showed a Call Detail Record (CDR) print out containing the records of text messages received by Antasari’s cellphone.
The trial is ongoing.
