DrDez - that's it! Brilliant! Its the solution. Forget circumcision. The savior for Indonesia is a mass program, starting with the President, of full frontal lobotomy.

One should know drinking alcohol is a good training for self-judgement & self-control. If u act crazy & out of control when u're drunk, ur weak mind shows. Alcohol impairs judgement, making it more challenging to control one-self. U'll be amazed from the things u can learn from drunken state instilled with self-control, that mind discipline will carry over ur sober time, but don't damage ur liver over it please... moderation is always best. Extremists please don't send me bombs,I'm not encouraging alcoholic drinks, but I encourage self-control & mind-discipline, if u extremists can do that while sober please show us your self-control and moderation.

Sadly those who you refer to will only take this as proof that alcohol is a sin and should be banned..

Win win when you have had a full frontal lobotomy I guess

Gobsmacked! Its all too much in a period of one week or so.

Where are the nannies that cry foul every time a Westerner makes a negative comment about the mess that Indonesia is now in?

It like the Wild Bloody West.

He might be fired but we're not sure yet because we have to review him in the professionalism department? He didn't swear on duty. He got drunk and shot a man point blank in the face! The police are on a roll for utter ineptitude, poisoning any hope Indonesians have for installing a liberal democracy. They act with impunity, are not held accountable, and perpetuate crippling norms of violence and corruption. Checkmate. Indonesia is officially a social and political wasteland.

Boalemo, Gorontalo. A man was shot dead on Wednesday by a police officer who had been drinking alcohol in a market in Boalemo district, Gorontalo.

The shooting stemmed from an argument that arose between First Brig. A.K. of the Gorontalo Police and Arfan Arsyad, an unarmed civilian, according to authorities.

A.K. had been drinking alcoholic beverages with Arfan’s brother, Ariyanto Arsyad, at the Wonggahu market when Arfan arrived and tried to persuade Ariyanto to go home.

It is currently unknown if the officer was on duty at the time.

Arfan’s request for his brother to leave angered the officer, who drew his sidearm and threatened Arfan before shooting him once in the forehead, according to Sudirman Dahima, the victim’s uncle.

“The perpetrator pointed the gun at Arfan’s forehead and warned Arfan not to interfere,” Sudirman said. “Suddenly the gun fired and Arfan fell bleeding and died at the location.”

Arfan’s body was taken to Aloe Saboe hospital in Gorontalo, where an autopsy concluded that he had died of a gunshot to the head.

Gorontalo Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Lisna Dunggio said that A.K. had been taken into custody.

“We have detained him and [he is] being questioned by the professionalism and security affairs division of the Gorontalo Police,” Lisna said.

Lisna added that A.K. could possibly be fired if it was determined that the wrongful use of his weapon had resulted in death.
