Cannot see any reason to show video in court, only sensationalism. Everybody knows the video, who's in it and what they are doing. What no-body knows is why this guy is in court? What he has done to break the law? And why the morons and hypocrites just cannot let it fade away into history instead of making the country look even more stupid than they have done already. If ever a country got its values more screwed up.

Assange - no it is not. It is a demonstration of stupidity, gullibility, and hypocrisy. In reality it is simply a very transparent attempt by certain parties to deflect the countries attention away from more important matters.

Jakarta. Former infotainment show host Cut Tari will be taking the witness stand during the court hearing of Peterpan frontman Nazril "Ariel" Irham in Bandung on Monday. Tari's lawyer, Hotman Paris Hutapea, said that the prosecutor would probably play the sex video in court.

“[In cases such as this,] what's interesting is that the prosecutor would usually play the video in the courtroom. That's why [Cut Tari] must be ready because the prosecutor would ask her, 'Who is that?'” Hotman said in a press conference at his office on Thursday evening.

Tari, who was also present during the conference, said that it would embarrass her to see the video.

“I hate to see the video. When I was questioned at the National Police headquarters, I personally hated to see it and I was embarrassed because everybody had seen it,” Tari said.

“[The video] feels like reopening an old wound for me. In the past six months, I've been trying to forget it and move on with my life,” she added.

However, she said she would try to be strong when giving her testimony.

“I need to be strong even though I'm not. I need to be calm and strong. This is an extraordinary lesson,” she said, adding that it would not be her first meeting with Ariel after the scandal broke.

“I have to be ready [to meet Ariel] because it won't be the first time. It's the second meeting after we were cross-examined at the National Police Headquarters,” Tari said.

Ariel has been in jail since June for allegedly filming sex videos, one with his girlfriend Luna Maya and another with Tari.

He faces charges under the 2008 Anti-Pornography Law, the 2008 Information and Electronic Transaction Law (ITE), as well as Article 56 of the Criminal Code for “participating in a crime.”
