A man was killed after he reportedly jumped from the sixth floor of a shopping center in Bandung, West Java, on Friday.
The unidentified man fell from the parking area of the sixth floor of Pasar Baru shopping center on Jalan Pasar Barat, Bandung, at around 9:30 a.m. A number of eye witnesses said the man had previously been sitting on the wall facing the street before he jumped.
Police have had difficulty identifying the man because he did not carry identification cards on his person.
“The victim had fair skin and small eyes and wore blue Reebok plastic sandals,” Douglas Mahendrajaya, the head of the detective unit at Andir Police in Bandung told detik.com.
The victim was 160 cm tall and was predicted to be in his 30’s.
“He was wearing a beige jacket, beige shorts and a white T-shirt,” Douglas added.
The victim was taken to Hasan Sadikin Hospital for an autopsy. Police declined to comment on whether it was a suicide.
“We are still investigating the case and we encourage families who are missing a son or a male relative to report it to the police,” he said.
