well, as a transjakarta user, i could say that the management's attempt to segregate passengers based on gender only in station hall is plainly useless, in my opinion adding new buss unit is the only way that could work. With a better service, i'm pretty confidence that more passengers would be attracted to use transjakarta's service, hence the main purpose of transjakarta which is providing proper and effective means of transportation would be achieved and lead in decreasing the jakarta's horrified traffic jam.

A second man has been taken into custody after he allegedly groped a woman’s breast on a TransJakarta bus.

TransJakarta official Bano Yogaswara said Pitoyo, 59, had been taken into custody after he allegedly sexually assaulted the victim, aged 33, at 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

“Suddenly the perpetrator squeezed the victim’s breast when the bus was passing the Tohari area. She slapped his hand and screamed,” Bano told Detik.com.

Both the victim and alleged attacker were taken to South Jakarta Police headquarters.

The incident follows an incident last month in which a woman’s bottom was groped by Anton, 32.

Anton, who allegedly admitted to the assault, was never charged because the victim did not lay charges in the absence of witnesses.

The incident prompted TransJakarta management to attempt to segregate male and female bus passengers but the plan it was poorly organized and implemented and died a natural death.
