Get over the hypocrisy. There is nothing wrong with pornography. It is an individual freedom, a human right.

The issue here should be that these 'lawmakers' do no work, they pass no bills, they don't attend assembly meetings, they are on the whole corrupt.

PKS might as well ban iPad, Blackberry, Tablets, Laptops etc as these gadgets may be abused to access porn.

But when they realize that porn starts in the mind, then PKS will also ban Brain, Eyes & Ears too.

Arifinto incident is a clear example that despite their holy & pious appearance, PKS minds can always be filled with porn & filth.

Usually perverts hide behind a clean, innocent appearance.

In this case Arifinto is not only a pervert but also a hypocrite.

A fitting description of his party and its leadership.

“Public criticism that Pak Tifatul's anti-porn campaign has been ruined by his own fellow party member is a sign that the public is cares about fighting pornography,” he said.

Or

Our own hypocrisy proves we are right!

IWhy stop at gadgets? Maybe the PKS can also search the computers and houses of their politicians for naughty magazines and pictures too.

I usually don't comment on news like this, but this is just too tempting.

"The West Java board of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) says it plans to raid gadgets owned by party lawmakers on the West Java legislative council to prevent them from watching porn."

My reactions:

1. Does that mean that the lawmakers usually watch porns so much that the leadership have to raid the gadgets?

2. When even their leaders don't trust their members in the regional legislative council, you have to start doubting the quality/morality of the members.

3. There are lots of anti-prostitution movements in West Java, including attempts to close Saritem, the red district of Bandung. Yet prostitution in West Java is flourishing. I guess now we know who keeps them alive.

The West Java board of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) says it plans to raid gadgets owned by party lawmakers on the West Java legislative council to prevent them from watching porn.

The head of the PKS' leadership board in West Java, Tate Qomarudin, said he had decided to take preventive measures after a PKS lawmaker Arifinto was caught on camera watching porn during a plenary session at the House of Representatives.

“The gadget raid can be done anytime, but we are still focusing on  investigating Pak Arifianto's case,” Tate said.

Pornography, he said, could tempt anyone regardless of their associations, including those from the PKS.

“Pornography can target anyone, that's why we have to wage a war against pornography,” he said, adding that the party would not be lenient in the fight against pornography led by the Communications Minister Tifatul Sembiring,  a PKS politician.

“Public criticism that Pak Tifatul's anti-porn campaign has been ruined by his own fellow party member is a sign that the public is cares about fighting pornography,” he said.
