497464deep sorrow; My heart weeps for the victims anf their families.
The knee jerk reaction by the authorities will no doubt pacify the immediate but short lived bloodlust - and sadly very little will change in the short term
Its only a matter of time before the next one, and only luck keeps you from being another victim
Not only should the bus company be shut down, if the bus is found to be under maintained, the owners should be prosecuted, heavily fined, and be made to pay compensation to the victims families.

Police have arrested a bus driver who lost control of his vehicle in Bogor on Friday evening, killing at least 14 people and injuring dozens of others. The bus smashed into vehicles, pedestrians and roadside stalls in Puncak Cisarua. The driver of the Kurnia Bhakti bus, Lukman Iskandar, 43, was arrested late on Friday.
Bogor Traffic Police Chief Adj. Comr. Syarif Zainal Abidin on Saturday confirmed the arrest. He said Lukman was unharmed and had fled the scene soon after the accident. He was caught in Garut, some two hours from Puncak. Police did not provide any further details of the arrest.
Also on Saturday, Transportation Ministry spokesman Bambang S. Ervan said the ministry had frozen the operational license of the company Lukman worked for. “Once we received a recommendation from the police, we were able to revoke the permit. It means the company must be shut down,” he said.
The crash occurred at 6:30 p.m. in Puncak, just 300 meters from the popular Taman Safari wildlife park. The bus hit three flatbed pickup trucks, two public minivans, four private cars, three motorcycles, another bus, food vendors and several pedestrians before falling into a 5-meter-deep ravine.
