Jakarta. Police in Palu, Central Sulawesi, have let a local lawmaker off with a warning after the married man was caught his university student girlfriend in a hotel room.
“Yes, there was a lawmaker from Morowali district with his girlfriend who were arrested in a hotel room on Monday,” Palu Police Chief Adjutant Snr. Comr. Deden Garnada told Kompas.com on Wednesday. “But I forget his name.”
Another officer said the lawmaker — identified only as AM — and his girlfriend were released after they signed an agreement promising not to repeat the act.
Adultery is a crime in Indonesia.
