Whatever happended to the joy boy found watching porn in the House of Representatives? Did he eventally send in his letter of resignation? Was it accepted? Is he no longer a lawmaker and drawing a wage? The matter just seemed to fizzle out in a fog. Does anyone know for certain what his status is now?

As for this nonsense. Dont the police have more important things to do? Please - no statements about upholding and protecting the morality and purity of the country. Please - don't make me laugh.

Police in Surabaya have arrested a university student on suspicion of selling pornographic DVDs over the Internet.

Endrio Syailendro, an economics student at Surabaya University, was arrested last week after police traced an online pornographic film store to an Internet protocol address linked to his computer.

Brig. Gen. Arief Sulistyanto, National Police general crimes director, said that Endrio set up a personal blog at www.http://surabayaonlineshopping2.blogspot.com to sell DVD copies of various porn movies he had downloaded from paid sites.

As of early Tuesday evening, the site was still accessible, though Endrio is currently in a National Police detention facility.

On the site, Endrio offered various pornographic films divided into categories such as Western, Japanese and Indonesian, priced at Rp 6500 (75 cents) per DVD. It is unknown if he was using the proceeds to pay for his tuition.

According to the site, the Japanese films were the biggest sellers, with Indonesian films a close second.

“He is still an amateur. He did not even conceal his IP address, so we could easily to track his position in Siwalan Kerto, Surabaya,” Arief said, adding that police would continue their efforts to arrest anyone selling pornographic materials online.

Among the Indonesian porn movies offered are the sex videos featuring celebrities Luna Maya, Nazriel “Ariel” Irham and Cut Tari.

Ariel is currently serving a three and a half year sentence in Kebon Waru penitentiary in Bandung after he was convicted of distributing pornography by the Bandung District Court.
