Surabaya. Surabaya Police have identified the teenager who impregnated a Surabaya school girl who allegedly murdered her newborn baby.

Deputy chief of detectives Comr. Sudamiran said the teenager was already known to police as he was wanted in connection with an assault that occurred three months ago.

“We are still chasing the baby’s father, R. He is not in Surabaya anymore,” Sudamiran told Detik.com.

The case began when the dead baby boy was found in the teachers’ toilet of state Senior High School 12 in Benowo area on Monday morning. The child, placed in a cardboard box, was found with a cord tied around his neck.

RD was quickly identified as the mother and arrested.

On Wednesday, RD’s mother told the press that the entire family was home when RD gave birth on July 21.

“All the members of the family were home when she gave birth at midnight,” RD’s mother said. She said she was sleeping and did not hear the sound of a baby crying.

RD told her mother that she did not feel any pain during the labor.

“She said she didn’t know she was about to give birth, the baby slid out unexpectedly when she wanted to use the toilet,” Jum said.

The baby fell to the floor and his head bumped on the bathroom floor but he did not cry. RD cleaned the baby before she strangled him with an electrical cord.

She put the baby in a plastic bag and took him to her bed.

On Thursday, she went to school at 5.30 a.m. She went into the teacher’s toilet and put the baby into a blue cardboard box she found there.
