Unfortunately with my experience of Indonesia all I can say is - I'll believe it (MRT system) when I see it.

Public service utilities have started moving buried lines ahead of the expected June start to construction on the underground sections of Jakarta’s mass rapid transit system.
Contractors for the city-owned wastewater treatment company, PD PAL Jaya, began work last week and hope to finish the job by a March deadline set by the MRT management company.
Work to relocate pipelines is visible along one of the city’s busiest roads, Jalan Sudirman, in front of the Da Vinci building and across the road from the Indofood tower. PAL Jaya has installed warning signs informing the public that the wastewater pipeline relocation is under way.
A spokesman for the MRT company, Manpalagupta Sitorus, confirmed the planned removal of the existing utility network along the length of the planned MRT route from Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta to the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle in Central Jakarta.
“There is already work under way by the owners of underground utility lines affected by the planned construction of the MRT. PAL Jaya has started to relocate its utilities,” Manpalagupta said on Monday.
He said he hoped other companies would soon follow PAL Jaya’s lead and clear the path for the planned route.
It is the sole responsibility of public utilities to relocate their lines and make sure that they do not interfere with the construction of underground MRT stations, he said.
To ensure the utilities understand this requirement, Manpalagupta said, the MRT company has held regular meetings with officials at the companies to discuss relocation strategies.
The March deadline for moving underground lines is so officials have two month to prepare for the construction, which is due to start in June. That is a month ahead of Jakarta’s gubernatorial election, scheduled for July 11.
MRT Jakarta is determined that the construction of the North-South Corridor Phase I will go ahead according to plan, Manpalagupta said.
The MRT route from Lebak Bulus to Jalan Sisingamangaraja, near Senayan, will have seven elevated stations, while the section from Senayan to the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle will be below ground and have six stations.
Before construction on the MRT starts, officials plan to widen Jalan Fatmawati and relocate the Lebak Bulus bus terminal and stadium.
“There have been no changes made to the MRT plans. Construction will proceed precisely according to the plan and schedule,” Manpalagupta said.
The head of civil and structural engineering at the MRT company, Heru Nugroho, said that the biggest obstacle to the project was relocating underground utilities such as optical telecommunications cables, water pipes, wastewater pipes and electricity cables.
The first MRT corridor is targeted to be in operation by the end of 2016. A second stage then will be built northward into Kota. That corridor is expected to begin running in 2018.
