Errr... a known 'terrorist/jihadist' website that has not been blocked by Tiffy (as promised time and time again)

Arrahmah.com, a Web site categorized by the National Anti-Terrorism Agency and Indonesia’s largest Islamic group as promoting radical jihad and terrorism, could not be accessed on Tuesday, its editor said on Wednesday.

“The Arrahmah.com site was hacked by hypocrites and infidels who continue to hate Islamic proselytizing through various means,” the site’s editor-in-chief, M. Fachry, said in an e-mail. “An attack from outside has left our server totally paralyzed.”

The site, which once published an exclusive message from notorious terror suspect Noordin M. Top after the 2009 bombings of the J.W. Marriott and Ritz Carlton hotels in Jakarta, has been inaccessible since Tuesday afternoon, he said.

By Wednesday, the site was back up.

Fachry, whose older brother Mohammad Jibril is currently serving a prison sentence in connection with the deadly hotel bombings, claimed that the attack on the site was part of a global war against Islam.

Since Islamic media were at the forefront of the battle against evil, he continued, it was only expected that they would come under attack.

Arrahmah.com was last similarly attacked in November, he said, without saying how long the Web site had been disabled.

He added that the site’s management had provided a temporary alternative for readers with a page on the Facebook social network during the downtime.
