Much has been said about Indonesian univ students -- The so called generation that will inherit the leadership of this great country. But, alas, are these "kids who will never grow up' the kind of future leaders we are to rest our hopes upon?

instead of representing the new generation of rational youth they should be, they chose to sell whatever little intellectual left in their rotten brains for just Rp20,000 per head.

believe me, very soon, they will be among the TKIs queueing to be smuggled into Malaysia to work there illegally.

Oh God the Almighty, help us, please.

Whatever the students have done is certainly morally wrong, but to burn the National Flag of a foreign nation, in my books, is definitely a criminal act.

Indonesians react so vociferously on petty issues. Can you imagine if radicals from a foreign nation decide to burn the revered "Merah Putih?"

Students? Which universities do they come from? Shameful, uncivilized acts indeed.

what good would a chaotic rally do? and what school did these students come from? you're all adults, please try to overcome the issue like an adult. again, what good would eggthrowing do? one day we might need malaysia's help, and you eggthrowers are going to rue the day you acted like highschool bullies on a prank night.

be the bigger person here, people. don't make things worse.

After a mass hacking attack on more than 120 Malaysian Web sites, dozens of students ambushed the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta on Tuesday and pelted it with rotten eggs and attempted to raise an Indonesian flag.

The rally outside the embassy at Jalan Rasuna Said in South Jakarta was heavily guarded by police, but no demonstrators were stopped or arrested.

However, police intervened when a student tried to climb the embassy gate to erect an Indonesian flag. The police and the student were involved in a tug-of-war trying to get hold of the flag, but police finally relented and the student flew the flag from the embassy gate.

A demonstrator told Metro TV that the rally was a symbolic act to demand that the Indonesian government break diplomatic ties with Malaysia and evict the Malaysian ambassador.

The already heated relationship between the neighboring countries reached new tensions last week after an allegation that Malaysian’s national anthem, Negaraku, was copied from the Indonesian song Terang Bulan.

Allegations that a Balinese dance had been used to promote a television show about Malaysia also irked Indonesians, though it was revealed that no Malaysian government agency had a role in making the advertisement.
