The place should be permanently closed anyhow. It's a town planning disaster and the strip a parking lot run by pimps. The beach is always a garbage dump of humans and trash. It's the global show piece of tourism madness.

Denpasar. Swimming has been banned at Bali’s popular Kuta Beach indefinitely due to strong waves measuring three to four meters in height.

Surfing is still being allowed under the supervision of rescue officials.

“The ban has been imposed from Friday at 9 a.m., Central Indonesian Time, indefinitely. Tourists have been banned from swimming at the beach for a while, until the weather turns conducive,” said Ketut Ipel, coordinator of Bali’s Water Tourism Rescue Agency.

“The height of the tide is fluctuating, but since 9 a.m., it has been getting higher and reached three to four meters. We do hope this weather will pass soon so that the tourists can return to swim in Kuta Beach,” Ketut said.
