Oh goodie! A new Party!

I cant wait to see what official uniform they appear in. No doubt serious discussions are taking place about it's design and colour. That old political strategy is as sound today as it was in Julius Caresar's day - get the uniform right and everything else falls into place.

I'm thinking of setting up my own Party: The Ridiculous Party. Our motto: Grab It And Run. The uniform? Something in green perhaps to indicate that members of The Ridiculous Party are envious of anyone who has more money than us. Or perhaps black to symbolise the condition of our souls and hearts. Whatever the colour our uniforms will have deep pockets. No need to explain why.

Our mandate which we will take to the people is : Listen you stupid dopes, trust us. Put us in power and let us do the rest. What's that? Mind your own business.

It's got a nice ring to it hasn't it? I know its been tried by the other Parties, but we will bring something new to it. Our uniforms.

Vote Ridiculous!

The National Republic Party (Nasrep), which was founded by Hutomo “Tommy” Mandala Putra Suharto, the son of former President Suharto, merged with the Ummah Conscience Party (Partai Nurani Umat) today, according to a party official.

Partai Nurani Umat is a separate entity from Hanura, which is also called the People’s Conscience Party.

“The National Republic Party has merged with the Ummah Conscience Party, which has been a legal entity since 2008, has now become the National Republic Party,” said Dedi Lesmana, the leader of Nasrep’s Central Board at  a meeting in Jakarta today. Nasrep had retracted its registration in Sept. 2011from the verification process for recognition of political parties conducted by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

The new National Republic Party must still undergo further steps to register as a participant in the 2014 election that will be held by the Election Commission (KPU) “What matters is that we are now officially a legal entity. We will definitely register with the Election Commission as part of the requirement to join the 2014 election.” he concluded.
