Maybe putting Bakrie in jail until the examination of this explosion and the Lapindo mud flow desaster has been finished properly, would really speed up things...

Hey Bakrie, how are you doing? Do you care enough about this latest issue?

Sidoarjo, East Java. A mother and her son are fighting for their lives after a natural gas explosion in their home near the Lapindo mudflow in Sidoarjo, East Java, on Tuesday night.

The victims were identified as Purwaningsih and her son, Debi Purbianto. They suffered burns to 80 percent of their bodies.

The details surrounding the explosion, which razed three homes, are unclear.

Sidoarjo Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Mohammad Iqbal said the fire sparked after a natural gas “bubble” underneath one of the homes ruptured and ignited.

It is understood that tunnels have been built beneath people’s homes to channel the dangerous gases, but that residents on occasion tap into the tunnels to use the gas for cooking, despite the inherent dangers.

The phenomenon began after the 2006 Sidoarjo-Lapindo mudflow disaster, which some blame on drilling activities by PT Lapindo Brantas, a company controlled by the family of Golkar Party chairman Aburizal Bakrie.

The Sidoarjo Mudflow Mitigation Agency (BPLS) is investigating the explosion.
