I'm sorry but this is simply a useless system and only wasting-tax-payer money (perhaps the same company who over-charged for creating DPR website).

Let's face it, the DPR don't even know their email account and can't even check their emails, do we seriously think that they even understand how this online complaint system works?!! Plus, the DPR don't even listen or act on real issues, why bother to act on complaints?

Why pay tax again when our money goes to create useless website instead of something really useful like fixing the potholes on the street??!!

I checked it out. the complaint form is too complicated. there are lots of unnecessary mandatory fields, such as kelurahan/kecamatan/kode pos, based on my experience lots of indonesians don't even know about their residences' RT/RW and details like that. also, the 'tujuan'/'ruang lingkup akd' field is also not helping, how many people know which committee handles the issue they're complaining. if DPR wants to continue with this method -not to be pessimistic, but i doubt they will read the complaints- a more efficient form is needed.

Members of the public who wish to address complaints regarding the House of Representatives or find out information about bills under consideration can now do so through an online public complaint system, say DPR officials.

House Speaker Marzuki Alie formally launched  the system today.

It can be accessed through the House Web site http://pengaduan.dpr.go.id. Those with a gripe can also send an SMS  to +62 811 944 33 44. The House is also launching an online public information service at  http://ppid.dpr.go.id.

Marzuki said that the aim of the new system is to make it easier for people nationwide to express their views to lawmakers.

"They don't have to go to Jakarta," Marzuki said on his official Twitter account Monday. "[It] will strengthen the quality of representatives' function."

The system is supposed to also ensure that complaints are followed up.

"During the year, there are numerous reports [to the House] but the follow ups are not clear. Now [with the information system] people could monitor the progress of their reports via the website," Marzuki said.

Meanwhile, the House’s secretary general, Nining Indra Saleh, said that people can also now request data online.

According to her, from January to May 2011 there were 539 complaints from the public and 83 requests for House data, including summaries of laws, initial drafts of bills and reports from study junkets.

Nining said that previously, people would have to come directly to the House to obtain information. “But now in order to give fast and cheap [service] we have developed the online public information system," she said.
