just catch Adang Daradjatun. It's obvious that he knows where his wife is but refuse to tell the authority. And, what kind of sickness make Nunun forget? She's suffering of Alzheimer?

Once more a member of the PKS has demonstrated how unfit he is to hold the position of a 'law-maker' - this fellow should be dismissed from his post and any pension or other entitlements forfeited. Arifinto, Daradjatun...the list goes on....

How can a PKS "Legislator" and retired Police General refuse to divulge where his wife is (after all he did say 'ibu is in my heard' did he not?). Is there no law which can be used against him for "obstructing justice"? Lock the old bugger up beside Bashir until he gives the information required. It is after all the wife who is "suffering from memory loss" and not the husband. So much for the Prosperous "Justice" Party...what a joke!!

Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission, criticized for doing little to track down high-profile corruption suspect Nunun Nurbaeti, appears to have finally sprung into life.

Johan Budi, spokesman for the commission, also known as the KPK, confirmed on Tuesday that it had dispatched teams to both Singapore and Thailand to establish the fugitive’s whereabouts.

Indonesia does not have extradition treaties with either of the countries.

Nunun’s husband, Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) legislator Adang Daradjatun, who is also a retired police general, has refused to say where his wife is hiding. He claims she is seeking medical treatment for an illness that makes her forget.

Nunun has been named in court as being involved in the distribution of traveler’s checks to lawmakers in exchange for their support for economist Miranda Goeltom’s appointment as the central bank’s senior deputy governor in 2004.

The KPK, however, did not request a freeze on her passport until late last week.

Johan said the KPK had close relationships with Thailand and Singapore, which made it easier for them to coordinate with local authorities to find Nunun.

He refused, however, to reveal any developments in the search.

“All we can say is that we are coordinating,” he said.
