A woman's body was found in the fountain of the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle this morning.

The woman was found around 6 a.m. by a cleaner named Stevanus. He was picking up trash from the fountain when he saw a body at the bottom of the pool.

He reported the finding to officers at the Menteng Police Precinct, who later took the body to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) to be autopsied.

“The body was taken to forensics. She was identified as Yatik and is estimated to have been around 50 years old,” a morgue officer was quoted as saying by news portal Detik.com.

The woman was 150 cm tall and had wavy hair and brown skin. There were no visible bruises or injuries on her body. A wallet with Rp 40,000 ($4.70) was found near her body.

Menteng Police have not yet given an official statement about the case.

It was not the only body found in Jakarta this morning.

A second body was found at 7:15 a.m. in front of Slipi Jaya Mall on Jalan S. Parman in West Jakarta.

“It was a man's body. No more details have emerged,” said First Brig. Tata from the Jakarta Metro Police's Traffic Management Center.

The man's body was also taken to RSCM for autopsy.
