President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono flies to Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday morning to attend the 100th session of the International Labor Organization conference.

Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said on Sunday that the president was scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference on the conditions of domestic workers.

"The president will convey Indonesia's views on the issue and what actions  we have taken in regards to putting forward workers' interests in synergy with those of employers and the government," Marty said on the sidelines of the East Asia World Economic Forum in Jakarta.

The bill on domestic workers is currently being deliberated in the House of Representatives, while domestic workers advocates have said that the lawmakers and the government are stalling the process to pass the bill into law.

Marty said deliberation was necessary.

"The president will deliver a message of the government and the parliament's concerns on this matter and the efforts we have been taking to address them accordingly," the foreign minister said, adding that cooperations between stakeholders were continuing regardless of which parties had caused the glitches.

"It is in our interests to commonly address the matter accordingly," Marty said.

Apart from attending the ILO labor conference, Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet with the chief of the World Health Organizations and the deputy secretary general of the UN's Geneva headquarter.

Also in the president's agenda in Geneva is a meeting with the UN representative on natural disasters, following Yudhoyono's being awarded with the UN award “Global Champion on Disaster Risk Reduction” in May.

Marty said a visit to Zurich, where the FIFA headquarter is located, was not on the president's agenda. Yudhoyono will continue his trip to Japan, where he is going to stay for two days.

He is schedule to meet Japanese Emperor Akihito, Prime Minister Naoto Kan and visit the areas that where hit by the tsunami in March.
